Argos (OpenDMP)

Overview

Based on OpenDMP opensource software, Argos simplifies the management of DMPs and allows the creation of actionable DMPs that can be freely exchanged among infrastructures. Integrated within the OpenAIRE platform and available through the OpenAIRE Service and EOSC catalogues, ARGOS enhances the OpenAIRE Research Graph and utilizes external services, sources, and semantics. DMPs can be assigned DOIs, licenses, and be redistributed in a FAIR manner.

Role in OSTrails

ARGOS platform will be adopted as a tool for developing machine-actionable Data Management Plans (maDMPs) in various national contexts. Each national pilot will leverage ARGOS to align with specific funder requirements, enhance open science policies, and integrate with existing national infrastructures for managing research data.

Croatian National Pilot

Collaboration with the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) on developing a maDMP in ARGOS and designing an open science policy.

Greek National Pilot

Connect HEAL-Link scholarly infrastructure services (such as PIDs) with the ARGOS-GR DMP platform, develop maDMP templates.

Dutch National Pilot

Encode current university/RPO-approved and funder-specific DMP templates into existing maDMP tooling/platforms, beginning with Argos.

Serbian National Pilot

Develop a machine-actionable Data Management Plan (maDMP) template tailored to the national funder, the Science Fund, using Argos.

Polish National Pilot

The pilot will develop maDMP templates addressing national requirements, with input from NCN. This will be supported by the integration of Argos,ROHub, and the national research data repositories,enabling the export of DMPs to meet national system requirements.
